We started working with The Green Energy Advice Bureau (GEAB) in 2024 with a view to improving our business energy management.

Being a hospice, we have a large premises and complex needs, so we needed the highest level of care and attention. It is also of great importance to keep our overhead costs under control so that we can continue to deliver the important work we do as effectively as possible. We dealt directly with Terrie Balfour. She is fantastic, communicating very clearly throughout the entire process and using her expert knowledge of the industry to create something which feels bespoke.

Thanks to GEAB’s help, we were able to not only negotiate a new contract for both our business gas and electric, but put together a forward-thinking strategy when it came to our procurement. From liaising with suppliers on our behalf and enabling us to compare business energy prices to ensuring our bills were accurate and exploring the best structure for our usage, GEAB have been thorough from day one.

Since then, they continue to manage our account with the highest levels of professionalism. Suggesting ways in which we can improve and become more efficient, arranging new meters to be installed as we expand and conducting gas safety checks at discounted rates. This hands-on approach has been incredibly helpful as it removed any of the stress for us, allowing us to focus on the essential work we do, knowing our energy was in good hands.

Over the years we have worked with GEAB and Terrie, our experience and confidence in them has only grown. Not only do they continue to manage our procurement and energy strategy but they have also supported us in several other ways. These include sponsoring our fundraising projects, regular donations and attending community events. Their collaborative approach speaks volumes for their investment in their client relationships. They have regularly demonstrated their commitment to forming long-term partnerships with the organisations they work with, something which was hugely important to us when it came to choosing our energy consultant.

We expect our partnership with both Terrie and GEAB to continue well into the future and look forward to their support across all aspects of our energy.
