GEAB Shortlisted for Trusted Energy Partner Award at the 2026 Energy Awards
Updated: April 23, 2026
The Green Energy Advice Bureau (GEAB) has been shortlisted for the Trusted Energy Partner Award at the 2026 Energy Awards.
Nominated for their impact supporting organisations through a rapidly changing energy landscape, GEAB achieved reductions of what would have been well over 1 million kwh in wasted energy consumption across their customer base in 2025.
Sales Director Marc Whitelaw said, “Being shortlisted for this award is a proud moment for our entire team. It reflects how we’ve evolved to support our customers in more ways than ever before, securing contracts, as well as actively helping them reduce consumption, navigate regulatory changes and manage rising non-commodity costs”
The Sunderland-based energy consultancy also achieved huge milestones for individual businesses. From Recovering £44,000 in unprocessed solar payments, to saving £33,561 by reducing standing charges and reducing overall costs by approximately £823,166 for another, it showcases their huge achievements throughout the year.
March Whitelaw continued, “In a market that continues to shift, our focus has been on adapting quickly and ensuring our customers are always in the strongest possible position.”
The award also reflects GEAB’s commitment to supporting communities and vulnerable organisations. The team launched a free gas safety checks scheme for charities in the region offering them relief at a time when costs were ever increasing. They also have supported several local initiatives including becoming a sponsor for St Oswald’s Hospice Tales on The Tyne sculpture trail and donating thousands in toys for children in need through Norah’s North Pole.
Managing Director Chris Anderson said, “This recognition is a testament to the team’s commitment to putting customers and communities first. We’ve always believed our role goes beyond energy, getting involved in initiatives that bring real value to local communities. It’s something we’re incredibly proud of, and it’s rewarding to see that approach acknowledged at this level.”
The winner of the award will be decided at the 2026 Energy Awards taking place on 13th May.
