The Green Energy Advice Bureau (GEAB) Sponsors Peter Rabbit™ Sculpture in Tales on the Tyne Art Trail
Updated: May 12, 2026
The Green Energy Advice Bureau (GEAB) is delighted to announce its sculpture sponsorship of Peter Rabbit™, Tales on the Tyne, a free public art trail presented by St Oswald’s Hospice and Wild in Art, launching across Newcastle and North Tyneside this summer.
As part of the trail, GEAB has selected a sculpture design created by local artist Darren Mundy, joining over 30 large Peter Rabbit™ sculptures that will appear in prominent locations across the region.
GEAB’s sponsorship reflects its long-standing relationship with St Oswald’s Hospice and continued commitment to supporting vital community services across the North East. Over the years, GEAB has supported the hospice through donations, involvement in previous sculpture trails and by providing business energy consultancy.
Chris Anderson, Managing Director of GEAB, said:
“As a proud sponsor of Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne, we’re thrilled to support this celebration of community. As a business with firm roots in the North East, this is a fantastic opportunity to not only shine a positive light on our region but help raise awareness and crucial funds for St Oswald’s Hospice, whose care touches so many families. We can’t wait to see our sculpture come to life and inspire visitors throughout the summer.”
Peter Rabbit™: Tales On The Tyne follows a series of hugely successful art trails organised by the Hospice, including Great North Snowdogs, Elmer’s Great North Parade, and Shaun on the Tyne. This year’s trail is particularly special, marking both St Oswald’s Hospice’s 40th birthday and Beatrix Potter’s 160th anniversary.
Steph Edusei, Chief Executive of St Oswald’s Hospice, said:
“We are hugely grateful to The Green Energy Advice Bureau for sponsoring a sculpture in Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne art trail. It’s partnerships like these that help us continue our mission and make this free, accessible summer trail even more memorable for everyone.”
The Peter Rabbit™: Tales on the Tyne art trail officially launches on July 15th and runs until 14th September, followed by an auction of the sculptures featured to raise essential funds to support St Oswald’s Hospice.
